The Seacoast is no stranger to Gary Kim. in 2013, he co-founded and launched Son-Mat Foods, the first artisanal maker of kimchi and fermented products in Southern Maine. following the appearances at local farmers markets and on retail shelves, he then went on to open the area’s first noodle bar in Kittery, ME named Anju, a reference to the drinking food of Korea. After two years of success and accolades, 2016 was A bittersweet time and chef Gary Kim decided that it was time to venture out into exploration. from the streets of Koreantown LA, the Pacific Northwest, Denver, NYC, Seoul, the Virgin Islands, Boston, Asia, and Europe he took advantage of wherever life took him.

Mr. Kim’s showcases his childhood comfort foods and unique culinary experiences abroad. from the decor to the music, Mr. Kim’s represents his idea of a great place to enjoy amazing food.

As is customary in Korean culture, sharing is always encouraged.
